The Social Committee kicked off the first neighborhood event
for 2015 with a 5K run/walk for the purpose of raising donations for the Humane
Society of Greater Savannah. Registration was held in the Center Island (little
park) at 9:00 on Saturday morning. There were moms & daughters running;
visiting grandfather with his daughter and grandson; traditional walkers and
runners; dog walkers and dog riders. Since it was Kentucky Derby Day, some
sported Derby Hats. The Social Committee came up with a nice way of getting
neighbors together both young and old for a worthy cause (raised $150) close to
our hearts with a big plus of exercise. Well Done!
